Casio G-Shock GW-M5610
In the collection

The 5600 case is the one Casio got right in 1983 and has been quietly reissuing ever since. This is the solar, radio-controlled version of it: the light keeps it charged, a time signal keeps it accurate, and between them there is nothing left for the owner to do. No cell to change, no time to set.
That is a strange thing to put next to a hand-wound Vacheron, and it is exactly why it earns the space. One watch asks for your attention every single day. The other asks for nothing, ever, and will still be right.
