The full-metal 5000 is the same watch as the resin square in every way that shows on paper and a completely different object in the hand. The case is cut from steel rather than moulded, the bezel is screwed down rather than clipped, and it weighs enough that you notice putting it on.
It is also the joke Casio waited thirty-five years to tell: the watch that was designed to be thrown at a wall, remade in the material you would never throw at one.
